My mother-in-law has been talking about new window treatments in her kitchen for a while now, so with a little help from my sister-in-law and some sneaking by Aaron and I, we prepared this special Christmas surprise!  

There is a before and after of one corner of the kitchen/dining room and it was so perfect when we went out to secretly hang the valances, she had the little sofa all set up with a co-ordinating pillow and throw.  

I found the fabric at fabricland and made these simple reversible valances.  They aren’t really fancy, but I think they will add a lot of colour and finish off the room.  I am pretty sure she doesn’t have a clue that any of this has gone on so I am excited to see her reaction when she checks this post on Christmas day to see that some elves have been busy sneaking around her house!
